As of today I just joined up with this tribe and a few others. I am new to this and not sure what will happen. I would like to meet some new people for friendship and maybemore if that happens to come along. Just a North Dakotan farmboy here. Hit me up for a chat at least.

      Hey D-guy

Yes it is confusing. I have a hard time figuring out where everything goes too. And then trying to figure out the tribe thing. There are so many to chose from. I would hate to join them all........lol

Hello all, I've been lurking in the background and thought I'd say hello; especially since we're in contract for a new house that has 2.35 acres in Oakland CA. I've been wanting to "get back to the land" for some time now and it's finally happening. I'll be putting in a barn and want to get chickens, dog(s), goat, llama and eventually a pasture or retired horse for its retirement. Any advice on any of this would be most welcome.

Hi Kevin.... Glad to see this tribe isnt completly dead! I didnt think there were 2 acres of continuous land still abvailable in the bay area... Congrats.. My partner and I moved onto our 2 acres almost two years ago up in Humboldt.. Lots of work but its been worth it! We have chickens, guineas, and dogs right now, with a waterfowl pond going in this fall hopefully.

Thanks for the reply. We ended up turning down the property since the only remaining buildable space was over the leach field for the septic and you can't build over it. Also, the neighbor I met made it very clear that he didn't like gays. Sooooo still looking for that place to get-away yet still be close to it all.

Thats sucks... but better to find out about the neighbors before you build! We got lucky with a very gay friendly rural neighborhood.. Just to close to it "all"

          Kevin,

Sorry to hear the home didnt work out for you. How unfortunate. I was excited to read about that much space actually being available in Oakland. Simply amazing. It would have been out of this world to have a garden and some anmials in town.

          Hope you find something suitable.

          Gov. J
